Josh Samos is a native Chicagoan. He began his career as a photographer. He has been creating vector graphics since the 1980s, when he first began using Macintosh computers. In 1998, he first began using his skills at teaching to help others learn to create and modify digital media. He has been teaching Adobe Illustrator since 1999, including beginner and advanced classes. His specialty lies in clearly explaining and enabling others to grasp the intricacies of computer graphic creation. With Adobe Illustrator, what Josh finds most engaging is mastering the complex processes of drawing and refining creative techniques. For him, unlike creating images with pencil and paper, Illustrator requires the artist to employ a host of skills and use them in combination to produce a given look or to execute a creative idea. He strives to make sure that each student can achieve his or her goals artistically. Josh also teaches Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat and web coding technologies.
