In the twenty plus years Mark has worked in the entertainment industry, he been a key figure in the production of live sports programs, news magazine shows, entertainment programming, historical dramas, documentaries, and PBS weekly programs. He has worked with sports legends, television icons, and the biggest broadcast companies in the world. Clients include, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox Sports, CNN, ESPN, A&E, Discovery, The Golf Channel, Belgian TV, the BBC, Canadian broadcast companies, Major League Baseball, and the NFL.
Mark produces a service each spring that provides Spring Training highlights for several MLB teams. These highlights are provided on a daily basis to the home market stations of each of the teams, as well as to national and international sports news outlets.
Other projects include; “One on One with David Frost”, “Village America” (a weekly PBS issues program,) Corporate video projects for Checkers, Duke Energy, Nokia and other corporate clients, Infomercials with nationally recognized products including Tony Little and Robert Allen. Mark has worked on the Super Bowl for the NFL, on location for the Golf Channel, Rogers Sports and Comcast Sports and was part of an award winning team for the 1988 Summer Olympics, for which he received a Sports Emmy.
Mark was also an instructor in film and television at the International Academy of Technology and Design in Tampa. As an Avid and Adobe Certified Instructor, He trained students in various software programs, including Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, and Media Composer. Subjects taught include: Pre-Production Planning, Producing, Production Management, Lighting, and Editing.
Mark has been an instructor for Future Media Concepts since 2010.
Josh began his career in photography, working in the fields of politics and architecture. An early MacIntosh user, he started in Desktop Publishing and later moved into web, video and multimedia production. In 1998, he began teaching for the City Colleges of Chicago, where he developed a Web Design program for ten years. At the same time, he started training in Adobe software, eventually specializing in Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Captivate. When he isn’t teaching, he does carpentry and gardening, and dreams about sailing around the world.
Katherine Houghton is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with degrees in Graphic Design and Industrial Design. She has held multimedia, graphic design, and consulting positions at numerous companies including KPMG LLP, one of the big five Accounting Consulting Firms where she managed the Multimedia Department. During the “.com” boom of the 90s she was promoted to Vice President of Confidant Inc. where she managed the entire look of all visual materials including the marketing and internet presence.
Currently, Katherine teaches classes in Illustrator, Freehand, Director, Photoshop, InDesign, Quark, After Effects, Final Cut Pro & Acrobat.
Caleb Mallery is an Apple and Adobe Certified Instructor for Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Speedgrade, Final Cut Pro 7, Final Cut Pro X, Motion, Aperture and the iWork and iLife application suites. In addition to being an instructor, Caleb works as a commercial and music video director and editor. His work has been featured in a variety of publication and media outlets including MTVU, Spin Magazine, Kerrang TV and Alternative Press.
